I hope you have had a wonderful summer! As nice as the summer break is for the staff and me, by this time, we are all more than ready to come back together and welcome each child and family that God has brought to Christ Memorial Lutheran School for the 2017-2018 school year! This year, I am happy to tell you we have a staff of nineteen teachers and assistants ready to meet and greet 137 students from 109 families! For twenty eight of our families, it is their first time here at Christ Memorial! We are offering twelve regular classes this year, including our brand new second 2x2s class on Monday and Wednesday, and we have 79 children who will be participating in our eight Enrichment classes!
The staff has been working hard to get everything ready for the children and we are all so thankful to the church for having the carpets and floors cleaned and polished for us! We appreciate all you do to keep the church and school in such great shape!
The first day of school this year will be on Wednesday, September 6th. We will have our, “Back to School Nights”, on September 11th and 12th and our “Welcome Back Picnic on the Patio” on September 19th. Please know you are always welcome to come to any event we have at the school! We welcome you! The children have chapel twice a month and we would be so happy to have you join us! I have placed a school calendar and a chapel schedule on the school bulletin board!
I hope you know how important you are to the school. Your prayers and support really are such an integral part of why the school works so well! The staff, children and families are blessed to have you!
Thank you for the prayers you have been offering to God on behalf of our Kindergarten teacher, Amy Czajkowski. Amy completed her chemotherapy treatments in early August and she will be returning to school for the first day!
I look forward to sharing photos of the children and the monthly school activities! I look forward to all that God has planned for us!
