The purpose of the Middle School Youth program at Christ Memorial is to provide a Christian based fellowship for youth in grades 6-8.  In this fellowship, our intent is to provide spiritual growth opportunities to supplement Sunday School, Confirmation and Pre-Confirmation,  provide Christian outreach opportunities, and promote community development and friendships.

Social Activities

     The Middle School Youth Group meets twice a month.  One activity a month is a low cost activity/topic night held at the church.

     The other activity is usually an off campus social activity.  The Middle School Youth Newsletter has a calendar listing events through December.

Confirmation

     Confirmation is a 2 year program (usually for 7th and 8th grade youth) designed to enable youth to reaffirm the baptism of their childhood.  Two years are spent studying the Bible and the basics of the faith as laid out in Martin Luther's Small Catechism.  It is an intensive study designed to bring youth closer to their Lord,  their families, their peers, and their chruch. 

     This year we have also added a Pre-Confirmation program for 6th grade students.  This one year program is designed to give youth an overview of the Bible.

     Confirmation and Pre-Confirmation classes meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm.
