 Women's Guild is the Society level of LWML (Lutheran Women Missionary League) here at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church. A Society within a congregation meets regularly for fellowship, mission work and specific projects.
Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month. (No meetings in July and August), at 7:30 PM with social time. Each month, hostesses will provide a dessert and beverage for the social time. Each meeting has a short business meeting and then a program having to do with mission work or an issue pertaining to women. December's meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 6:30 PM. There will be a Gift Exchange at this meeting. We will also be donating gifts for children to give their mothers at a local shelter.
A donation of $15.00 per year per member is suggested in lieu of monthly Guild dues. This donation covers seed money, the Lutheran Women's Quarterly and the Eastern District Link (newletter). Each member keeps a Mite box to collect loose change and brings it to the meetings to donate to district and national mission grant goals.
